Bob Smith

Bob Smith is Head of Real Estate at ACE. has enjoyed a diverse career in financial services, centered on the strategic and operational leadership of banks and mortgage banks. Mr. Smith most recently served as the EVP, Corporate Development & Strategy for Real Matters, a fintech provider of services to banks and other mortgage lenders in the U.S. and Canada. He also served as President of Solidifi Title & Closing, the Company’s settlement services entity. Prior to joining Real Matters, Mr. Smith was the President of AmeriSave Mortgage, an independent mortgage bank, after serving as the Head of Mortgage Operations for BNY Mellon, where he was responsible for mortgage strategy, fulfillment and servicing, and all regulatory and compliance aspects of the business.  

Mr. Smith began his 30+ year career in public accounting with Deloitte, where he was recognized as a National Industry Specialist in the bank/thrift and real estate industries.​
